I went shopping with a client the other day for her son’s graduation. I have been so lucky; everyone I’ve worked with so far has been amazing. They know what they like/don’t like and we have a ball working together. When this client arrived at the store, I picked out a number of dresses I thought could work for her. She immediately gravitated to the same dress I thought would be “the one” and we were sold immediately! I think in 20 minutes or less, we had two dresses, a pair of shoes and a pair of earrings! She’s going to look fabulous. After we left, I sent her links for a fun purse and necklaces for each dress. If you know me by now, you know I am obsessed with shoes, bags and jewelry. My husband tells me I have a problem … and he may be right. Since there are so many cute bags out right now, I felt it was my duty to share them with you in hopes that you too, will have a neat new item for your next big event. And by the way, I think we broke the internet with my last shoe list — those Melissa white-platform jelly shoes sold like hotcakes!

Summer bags are so fun because they are colorful, come in all shapes and sizes. My favorites have been the mini beach bag styles and surprisingly, the belt bags. Crossbodies will always be a popular choice since you can be hands-free. An oversized tote is still a yes, especially if you are carrying a water bottle, hat and sunglasses for a swim meet or soccer tournament. My client chose a solid-colored dress for the graduation — which will show up well in pictures and lends itself to a great bag. She could have gone with a pop of color (an opposite) or a multi-colored one. We discussed what she would need to carry at the graduation and how quickly she needed to access it — all determining factors when considering your bag.

Oh By the Way, look everywhere for your bag! I sat at the counter this morning, flipping through a few catalogs that still show up in the mail, and found three bags I want from stores I normally don’t shop. Amazon and Etsy are also great options! Enjoy shopping and my apologies to your husband for the extra packages that keep showing up on your front porch!
