2022 Fall Shoe Edit

Guess what it’s time for? Time to turn over your closet to fall and winter AND purchase a new pair of sneakers or a new style of shoe that you don’t have in your closet. I’ve been combing the internet for what’s popular this fall and I’ve deduced it’s going to be clogs and loafers. Sneakers will still be strong as will boots with a platform base. Additionally, platform heels will be amazing as holiday parties approach. You can’t go wrong with rich colors in suede like hot pink, emerald green and chocolate brown. Pops of color on your feet will jazz up any outfit – especially florals, plaids and prints. Additionally, sneakers will be wilder. You’ll see mixed elements — animal print, metallics and fringe. High tops and mid-rise sneakers are also in. You’ll need to keep your pants above your ankle bones to show off those or pair them with a long skirt. So, without further ado, here are a few styles I’ve got my eye on! 

Oh By the Way, as I show you a choice, remember it’s one example. If it’s too expensive, be assured there will be less pricey options out there. If you want a higher heel, lug sole or buckle, search for those options as well. For example, I want a hot pink loafer. Oh By the Way part 2, we lost a dear friend of the blog recently. Judy Peterson was an avid reader of OBTW and best friend of my Mom. She rarely missed commenting on a post and often followed up with a handwritten note or email. She was one special lady who had weekly phone calls with my Mom, watching Wake Forest (or other ACC teams) football or basketball while on the phone together and sharing each other’s trials and tribulations. Always an optimist, I plan to take a page from Judy’s playbook and write more thoughtful handwritten notes. She will be greatly missed by all who knew her!
